Our story
The Pace family
Chris and Mallory relocated to Colorado in 2020 and quickly fell in love with the community they now call home. As parents of two young children, they know firsthand how much a safe, nurturing place matters. After more than a year of searching for the right location, they opened Little Peaks.
Mallory is a speech-language pathologist with 13 years in the field, helping children find their voice and confidence through communication and play. She also runs a youth soccer program.
Chris is a retired Air Force pilot with a master's degree in business, and now serves as a full-time firefighter. He brings the same steady calm to creating safe spaces for children and families.
Why Mallory started Little Peaks, in her words
“When my daughter was one, we toured our first daycare. After hearing that children wouldn’t be held or comforted when they were upset because they need to learn how to self soothe, I immediately knew it wasn’t the right place for us. A child needs nothing more than to be loved and comforted, especially when having big feelings. So, I went to the car, cried my eyes out and I made the decision in that moment to work part-time so I could spend more time at home with my children. I ended up working part time and nannying for wonderful families for 4 years. From that experience, I knew I wanted to start a daycare that truly comforts and supports both children and their families.”
